Sweet Prayers from Alaire

Tonight Alaire was scrolling through my instagram feed and she saw the picture below. She doesn't understand instagram so she thought I took the pictures of those little smiling faces. I told her no my friend John took those pictures. When she asked me what their names were I said I didn't know. She was frustrated and continued with her questions so I gave as much information as I knew telling her that these kids are orphans that live in Hati and that John goes there to help the people that take care of them. I of course, also had to explain that orphans are kids that don't have parents anymore. She then asked me when they go to bed. I smiled and explained that God tells us that all of us that say that we love Him should taking care of orphans and that there are people in Haiti right now that tell God how much they love Him by loving and talking care of those kids. She seemed satisfied with my answer and continued on instagram, editing the picture she took of her animal trinkets.

Once she had finished her masterpiece she said her prayers and that was the first time I remember wanting to cry and laugh at the same time! Her prayers went something like this, "dear God thanks for this blessing, thanks for a fun day, thanks for us not doing bad things, help the Haiti kids know when they are muddy they should take a shower. Amen."

Don't you just love the way their little minds work!
