TP tube Nativity

**First off- Yes, that is an enormously hugely ginormous load of dirty clothes behind Ellis' head. I would like you to know that I have made somewhat of a dent in the washing of it but don't plan to fool myself into thinking that the clean ones will actually get put away any time soon. A girl can only do so much!

My friend Katie (who I have never met, but have many random connections to) recently sent me a link to a blog that she had found. It was a Nativity craft that you could make using toilet paper tubes. Unfortunately, I somehow lost the link but had the general idea. This morning I searched a few more ideas and then put a few together into one craft using some material scraps, tissue paper, foam packing, and toilet paper tubes.

I think they turned out so incredibly cute and I can't wait to get them out of the box and display them when the kids are 16 and 18. Alaire was really into it and keeps asking me where the angel is so we may have to add a few more pieces before we put them away for next year.

Thanks for the idea Katie! I love how they turned out!!

This is Alaire's.

This is Ellis'.

Just a random picture to finish out the post. Ellis and Trevor put up our Christmas lights (and I still haven't gotten a picture of them.) Every night Ellis reminds us to plug them in and then grabs the step stool out of the pantry so that he can look at them through the peep hole.

They were both on the step stool last night and I asked one of them to get down before someone got hurt. Ellis said, "but Mom, we are waiting for you to take our picture."
