I guess I better learn to like basketball

First thing first. I need to apologize for the appearance of the yellow basketball uniform yet again. So so sorry all others were unavailable due to a mom who has yet to do the laundry upon their return home.

After showing Daddy his new b-ball shoes and uniforms Daddy decided he needed a hoop. With all of the boxes in the garage from the home fix up they fashioned one themselves. I walked
outside just as it was about to be stapled to the pillar of the house and vetoed that idea. I really wasn't sure that the place it landed, between the garage doors, was really that much better so for fear of the dreaded HOA I promised a trip the next day to search out and purchase a hoop all his own.

We have already put it to great use outside and currently it is being put to good use inside.

During all of the hoop action with Ellis and Trevor, Alaire and I were told that we could be cheerleaders. He said "mommy do go yellow team go." She was perfectly happy with that idea and would have squealed until that sun went down if we hadn't made them come in to get ready for church.

So sweet.... Ellie is obsessed with soccer and this morning at 8:30 a.m. we were at Wal-Mart purchasing her a "real" soccer ball....I am so glad she is not obsessed with all the princess, barbie stuff that I will always play soccer with her... our kids are going to have so much fun together in CO. I think they have a basketball court just for Ellis!

I think he needs a white jersey and you could put on you white b uniform and do some serious damage what about the 1/2 dance to batman!! I still remember the begining. he is a cheer to get you started.
we are awesome yes we are awesome A-W-E-S-O-M-E we're awesome!

Ive seen and heard you cheer...better find another job. I'm glad he had a hoop. I was trying to figure out how to send ours to you. Let's just hope he grows up tall and that he has skills like Molly and Dustin on he court.

Ellis looks so cute and in the "zone" with that basketball goal. Sounds like he came up with a pretty good cheer on his own, too. Can't wait to hear Alaire's version of it. (I guess the cheer will change according to the color jersey he's wearing at the time?)

I love how he told you just what to say! Jack fills in the blank for me too. Ellis is so cute, and I have to say those boxes turned into a pretty impressive homemade hoop! ....hey you are right by the way- in my post I DID forget to mention our awesome suitemates of the fabulous shared bathroom! Living in those front suites definitely saved me from the trauma of the giant row of shared toilets. :-)

How fun! Alaire looks so comfy in her bouncer! Why don't they make them in "mommy" size?? Yeah, she doesn't look like she is ready to go anywhere!
