My consignment finds

This post is mostly for my mom and sister but read on if you are one of those that is good at rejoicing with those who rejoice.

My real moms group at church is participating in a children's consignment sale this weekend with a few other moms groups in our area. The set up was today and if you worked the set up you got to go to the presale tonight. I worked childcare this morning with our worship minister's wife so I went back tonight to see if there was anything there that I just couldn't live without. My children need basically nothing (thanks to Auntie Em). Our play room is over flowing with toys and while I was at the sale I was wishing I would have done as good a job purging their toys as I did their clothes. I took five large plastic bins full of clothes so I'm hoping someone else thinks they "just have to have" something I contributed. I came home with some favorites....of course we don't really need any of it but that was half of the fun. The most fun though was that I saw that I have already sold three things. My friend Mandy, who I worked with this morning, was buying two pairs of Ellis' shoes and the lady in front of me in line bought a onesie that was Ellis'. I can just feel it I'm going to be rich!

So here is the breakdown.

Liked the outfit because it is a short sleeve shirt and then it also has a zip-up. This will hopefully be really nice for CO nights.

The boots are 2T red seude so cute, how could I pass them up.

The coat is Old Navy and looks like it has never been worn. 3T but looks larger, may be good for two winters.

Ellis learned to walk with a truck from Peep and I just didn't think that would be fair to Alaire so I got her the walker, it lights up and plays music and makes animal noises.

The toys (that we really don't need) were by far the favorites. I got Ellis a golf bag with three plastic clubs and a ball in it and a vaccum that makes noise. He kept asking Trevor what the names of all of the clubs were. The vaccum went to bed with him. He had a REALLY hard time closing his eyes for prayer tonight. Trevor just kept saying its to bad that thing doesn't really work....now that would be an awesome toy!

I wish Auntie Em and I could have been there for the sale. It sounds like a blast. I would just walk around looking to see if anything else of yours sold. Then in true Circuit City fashion I would probably have to merchendise some of your stuff and then make people think that they just couldn't live with out it...a good buy for sure.

Good work Cas!! I went to one a few weeks ago....my favorite thing I bought were the cutest pair of Baby Gap khaki tennis shoes for Carson (couldn't try them on b/c they taped the bags shut) and when I got home, his fat little feet wouldn't even slide into them. Oh well maybe the next one will be a boy too and he will have my feet, not chris' wide fat feet!!!

I just got Ellie the plastic golf set...she loves it! Hopefully, we don't have something broken soon... I hope you sell lots! Can you imagine all the junk we will accumulate over the years... it stresses me just thinking of it! Oh, we just found out we are going to Estes Park.. nothing like 2 times in CO in 2 months!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun finding hidden treasures for Ellis and Alaire. Looks like you made some great deals. Hope all your "stuff" gets sold! That would be so terrific!

Love Ya! O'ma

Those golf clubs are precious.... I mean we are on our second set of clubs and we have our own swing. I think we need to take the boys golfing!

Back in the day they just called them rummage sales. When did the name change to consignment sales? If they have any barely used pirate ships we are in desparate need here in Cincinnati.
