Why Do We Buy Toys?

My Peepaw had given me a pampered chef baking sheet almost a year ago and I was only able to get it as far as Cincinnati because it is so heavy that if I would have put it in my suitcase I would have had to pay extra at the airport. My mom has been using it ever since and called me a few days ago to tell me that she had seasoned it so well that she was just going to keep it and that she had ordered me a new one that should be arriving soon. It came today while Ellis and Camdyn were sleeping. When Ellis woke up it was the first place he went. I don't think he even got one toy out of his toy basket today (other than the drumstick). First it was a drum, then it became a car, and then a place to hide. He fell out of it a few times, one of which I thought was going to be an even better injury than the other night, but he just kept playing.

Boxes are the best. I remember Dad getting boxes for you and all the kids at our house and you all playing for hours. Cutting our windows taping them together to make condos...those were the days!
