It was a great Christmas at our house. The kids were excited for weeks! As the day got closer it seemed like the box boy was ringing our door bell every day and they couldn't stand that they had to wait until Christmas to open all of the presents.
Trevor and I had told them that they would get to open one present on Christmas Eve after church and Ellis kept saying he wanted to open his gift from Alaire. He had told her exactly what to get him and he thought he was going to choose. I warned him that what he would be opening would not be a toy and he was bummed. They were so excited to find foot pj's inside. They both loved them and put them on as fast as they could, even though we hadn't even had dinner yet.
Christmas morning they woke up really late for them. Ellis came in our room around 7:30 and we let him go in and wake Alaire up while I got the camera ready downstairs.
Some of Alaire's gifts:
* a dollhouse made by Trevor's grandmother (GG) and all of the things to go inside
* a broom and dust pan
* a shopping cart
*Tangled Leapster game
*clothes
*colored pencils
*Toy Story 2
*Chutes and Ladders
* headlamp, flashlight, lantern
*baby, baby clothes and accessories
Some of Ellis' gifts:
*Tons of GI Joe stuff that used to be Trevor's and his brother's
*headlamp, flashlight, lantern
* Toy Story 2
* Steelers outfit
*LEGOs
* air hogs motorcycle
* rescue helicopter
*chutes and ladders
*colored pencils'
They both also got the toothbrushes that they told Sneak and Noel about over and over again. It cracks me up that one of the first things they show their friends when they come over are their new toothbrushes and toothpastes.
After the presents had been unwrapped we feasted on homemade cinnamon rolls. I used The Pioneer woman's recipe and about half way through making them I looked to see how many the recipe served. Yeah...... 50! Needless to say on Christmas morning I only made half of them and made the other half the next morning. After we had our fill we loaded up and took the left over ones to the people that were working at Starbucks. They were so excited to get the little surprise that they gave all 4 of us free drinks.
After some fun in our pj's at Starbucks we headed home for play and naps. That evening we went over to Steve and Nana Kelli's house for stuffed sopapias and games. The kids had fun playing with Camdyn and Silas and Trevor and I got to see Matt and Sarah a little more too! Eventhough we didn't spend the holiday with family it was a really great Christmas, exactly what I had hoped for!

Toothbrushes...crack me up!
Love the dollhouse and the GI Joe's...that is way cool.
Wish we could have all had Christmas too but it was great to Skype and see the goobers so excited.
Sounds like a great Christmas! Wish we could have been at Steve and Nana Kelli's too! :)
Sounds like a super Christmas! And the fun continues!
Thank you so much for sharing your Christmas! I loved the jammies the kids were wearing, they're just so cute. I thought it so heartwarming that you gave buns to the employees at starbucks, what a way to make their christmas day bright!
I made those cinnamon rolls too-- we gave away several pans, we ate far too many ourselves, and I still have a bunch in the freezer! But they are SO good! I love that you surprised the Starbucks crew- awesome idea. :)
