Easter Part 2: Saturday

Saturday took us to church for the Easter Egg-stravaganza. The kids had a blast. There was tons to do and there were TONS of people there.
We got tattoos, dyed eggs and saw lots and lots of our firends. The gym had huge bounce house toys in it. We stood in line for what seemed like forever to do this gigantic slide. I was originally just going to send Ellis up and Alaire and I would watch but Alaire would have none of that so we all went down together. Then we sent Ellis through the obstacle course one and he loved that Daddy just happened in to see it while he was doing it. (Trevor worked the event doing tattoos.)

The egg hunts were done according to age and Alaire went first. It was so funny to watch all of these little people in a yard so full of eggs you could hardly walk and still they had no idea what to do. She finally got the hang of it but once she found out that there was candy inside of the eggs she was finished hunting and ready for eating!

Ellis was really excited when it was almost his turn to hunt but when it actually became his turn he was less than ready! He is so timid and does not like anything new. I probably should have done a better job of preparing him for what an egg hunt actually was but Trevor really had to work hard at getting him to even pick up one egg by himself. He was completely overwhelmed.

We attempted a family picture. I have just decided to try to lay all expectations for the next few years when it comes to pictures. This one turned out pretty well but you have no idea how much work it took for me to try to get the pictures of them separately once we got home.

What a lot of fun ( and work)! The family pictures turned out great and I love the poses of Ellis and Alaire! (Whatever it was you had to do, Cassie, it was worth it.)
