Ellis got to go golfing today with Dad. This was his second outing. He went the first time a few weeks ago with Daddy and Opa and he has talked about it ever since so when he found out that Trevor was going again today with Jay he had his clubs and he was ready! When he got home he told me that he used his iron the most and that he was better than Daddy.

Wow what a day!
This morning as we were making breakfast I saw a hot air balloon right over top of our backyard. I had Ellis step out on the back stoop to watch. He told me it was landing and when I stepped out I found that he was right, and it was landing in the field right across the street. We watched for a long time and then a few seconds after Trevor and I stepped back inside Ellis was outside yelling "hey there is someone coming out." Sure enough, he was watching people parachuting out of the balloon. The parachuter in the second picture is right about at power line level....look just to the right of the two trees in the middle.

i have a friend who does ballooning - i'll have to ask him if anyone ever parachutes out when he's flying!
We did rapelling when I was in my 20's where we jumped from the ballon sliding down ropes. It was fun by you got bad rope burns on your inner thighs. Thats how I got my nick name of Slidin Slim
HOw fun to see hot air balloons that close. I remember watching them on the bus on the way to school most morning in middle school! Looks like he is definitelyu all boy (as if we didn't already know that).
Too cool...esp the golf. Next time there is free food somewhere, send out an e-mail! Hehe...
