The Sheltons continued...
Our last night with the Sheltons we decided to go to Pearl St. and find a fun restaurant for dinner. We kept thinking of our times in Cville together while we were there. We have heard that the same architect that designed Pearl St. also designed the downtown mall in Charlottesville.
We had a great Italian dinner and then walked around watching all of the street performers and making a stop at this really cool old time candy store. One of the street performers was kind of mime like statue; she had painted herself white and wore an all white outfit carrying one red flower. Many people were intrigued with her and when someone gave her a tip she would tip her flower and change her position. Ellis was terrified of her and talked about the ugly white lady all the way home.

I think we ate there once, when we went to one of the street festivals...but we decided to stick to the Cheesecake Factory! :) They have a white statue like that at EPCOT, in the France section--we always like watching them!
Glad you had so much fun with your friends!
