Another busy day

We had a crazy busy and fun day today. This morning we met Nana, Kimmi, Ireland, Chloe, Sarah, and Camdyn at the library. Alaire totally missed her morning nap but you wouldn’t know it if you didn’t look at her eyes. Ellis had a blast with Ireland doing an I Spy activity that the librarians had put together all over the children’s area. After the library we went over to Nana’s for more play time and lunch. Ellis wasn’t really that into lunch but he really got into playing with the girls in the backyard especially when Nana was chasing them.

While the kids napped I got a few things done around the house. The first thing on my list was laundry and as soon as I opened the door to the washer to move the load I had put in earlier today I knew something was wrong. After lifting out the first shirt I found the problem. Somehow (insert whatever name you wish but I’m choosing Ellis) washed my entire recipe box full of recipes! There are only two that I can’t read but they are currently lying in a nice grid all over the kitchen floor in hopes that they will be dry by morning.

When Trevor got home we swallowed our dinner in one bite and then flew into town to meet a bunch of the students at DQ. Ellis loves doing things with “the kids” as he calls them and wanted to talk about them most of the way home. Now two are in bed and I’m sure two more will follow shortly.

***You have to check out the new video of Ellis strumming away on the guitar that Oma and Opa got for him. I just wish I could have had the camera on both of them at the same time. I think you will be able to tell how much fun Alaire was having just watching him. Just click on the link to the left called “My guitar hero” under movies of the bug and ladybug.

At least it wasn't a snake or something. Emmy and I can help you replace the recipes that you lost. He was just trying to help.

The washing machine/recipe cards story sounds like a story right out of the Denise the Menace play book! And he is so adorable.... even when he does these awful things to Mr. Wilson.... because he LIKES him!

Loved the guitar movie!!!! He has got the moves DOWN! Alaire's giggles in the background are so sweet.
