We had a blast. For the first 20 minutes Ellis would look at an animal for a few seconds and then say "come on lets go" and run to the next one. He says that the snakes were his favorite (because they were Trevor's) but he spent the most time at the gorrilas and the hippos. I was a big fan of the gorrilas and the little baby geese that no one was paying attention to during the seal show. The Lions were awesome. We could get so close. Most of the animals were pretty active; I think because we got there right as they were feeding them breakfast.
We had planned to leave early enough that we could eat before they fell asleep in the car and it turned out to be perfect timing because just as Trevor and I were saying we should go soon it started to snow! Hopefully the next time we go it will be a little warmer.

LIKE A PEACOCK!!!
so fun! We have a zoo membership as well and I love it. We've gone twice already and it is good for a middle of the week activity. Good talking to you last night!
So fun! That's a great birthday present. I can't believe you all were brave enough to go out when it was cold enough to snow and I'm sorry it's still that cold out there.
That zoo membership is a really great birthday gift! Ellis will soon be an animal expert! And I can relate about the poopy outfits-- for awhile I left Sam in his sleeper until he pooped because it was always such a disaster, and at least I didn't have to pull the messy sleeper over his head. Poor messy babies. :)
The Zoo looks like it was a lot of fun. Glad you can go anytime you want to now. (Wish the Museum of Natural History was still free like it was when the boys were little. That place made great memories, too.)
O'ma
we had a zoo membership when we lived in columbus when blake and luke were tiny boys. we spent a lot of time there when greg was working because they loved it so much. pushed blake in the stroller and wore luke in the backpack. wow. i miss that..
