Here is what we did today:
-Alaire woke up and pooped in outfit #1
-went to the zoo (that post will be coming tomorrow)
-nursed Alaire in the parking lot before going in
-while there it started snowing (we were okay though, we were bundled)
-Ellis and Trevor ate taco bell while I nursed Alaire in car again
-children fell asleep in car on the way home so we stopped at Target
-while Trevor sat outside with them I spent bday money
-children awoke and came in to look at toys
-rushed home to change for church
-arrived at church to poopy outfit #2
-went to sonic for dinner after church (this is where the learning began)
-started to nurse Alaire in the car for the third time today
-Alaire made poopy outfit #3 while nursing
-food comes as I'm changing child on lap
-"Daddy where mine boorger, I wanna see Alaire poopy, Daddy I want dip, why Mommy not
eat, what mommy eat,i want a milkshake"
-"Ellis wait, Ellis be patient, Ellis it's coming, Ellis I'll get it, Ellis its ok"
So we learned:
-the zoo is really fun
-on zoo day just do the zoo
-its never a good idea to have fast food twice in one day
-pack more clothes in the diaper bag for Alaire
-never ever ever go to sonic with a toddler unless it is warm enough to eat on the picnic table!!

Some good lessons learned....I can't imagine you didn't pack enough clothes...seems you always had two or three bags when ever we went anywhere or you went to Cowen. Or was that Emmy?

Glad you had fun...picnic at the zoo is what is called for. "You have to eat all your lunch before we can go see the animals."
This is a cute story, although I'm sure it wasn't so "cute" as it happened. =) I love the things Ellis says, too---Someone recently told me to have a notebook always sitting in the kitchen to write down the funny things kids say so I don't forget. I need to start that, although the blog is a good start. Hope today is less explosive for you in the poop department. =)
The Zoo and being together throughout the day is the best..... learning stuff along the way.... even better! (I have a feeling you already knew most of it anyway!)

Mike always suggests Sonic and I'm like are you crazy? I can't imagine eating this in the car with 2 kids. You are a good form of B.C. cause I am so not ready to nurse in the car. You are a good mommy... I always brought formula on those days! It is probably the reason why I only nursed for 6 months. Very funny story.... I can't wait for Ellie and Ellis to share a milkshake. She loves them so very much!
Cassie- that is way to many things to learn in one day. I feel like Alaire may like summer where she can only wear a diaper and a bow:)
This is hilarious! So many lessons we learn as we fly by the seat of our pants through motherhood!
