Ellis can not contain his excitement! He could barely even take a nap today.
We ran a few errands this morning and then went to Kohl’s to use up a gift card we had. I was looking around in the kids section and Trevor was taking Ellis to the bathroom when I heard Trevor say, "uh oh Cass." I thought we were going to have to do a costume change but it turned out that when Ellis walked back through the boys dept. they had t-shirts on sale for $10 with a real life mini me skateboard attached. It is the perfect size skateboard for a toddler; although I'm not sure skateboards are actually perfect for toddlers. It didn't take but two seconds for it to become "mine skateboard" or for me to realize that I am weak! Trevor said it was up to me....up to me, I thought.....well this is a no brainer look how happy he is and it isn't even out of the package yet. I'm sure I don't need to tell you, but we now have a skateboard.....and quite possibly the happiest child on this side of the Rockies.
At nap time he cried himself to sleep. "I want mine skateboard on my bed." You see I did have brains enough not to let him keep it in his room during nap time. A few minutes into all of the commotion Trevor returned to his room (which is a no no in my book) and told him again that the skateboard would be there when he woke up. As Trevor came out of his room, having made no change with the tears at all, I told him he was an amateur. I guess this is where I must confess....and profess myself an amateur as well.

It's hard to say "NO" and do all the "Right" things all the time as a parent and we ALL learn some things about parenting the hard way.... looks like Ellis will live through this snowboard phase..... (whether he lives through it unscathed by the BOARD has yet to be seen!)
His smile is priceless!
Love Ya! O'ma
I love it...the skateboard I mean. His helmet and elbow and knee pads are great too. So will that be coming to the big city in the summer? We have a great big long straigh down the hill bust your front teeth out driveway he can practice on...
yeah, we have a slightly moderate slope compared to Wammy & Pappy's death trap.
As annoying as his constant talking about his skateboard is...He is so CUTE with it!
Dad
Caleb didn't start skateboarding till he was 10. Ellis is getting a head start on him. He will probally be doing ramps when he is 5.
