I feel pretty sure that Sarah would not mind at all if I shared so I thought I would just go ahead and give anyone who is interested the recipe that got my son to eat his broccoli. I think when she gave it to me that she said her MIL gave it to her when she asked for a few of her husbands favorites.
Broccoli Sesame (sp?)
1 pkg. of frozen broccoli or a crown.....depending on how you roll.
1TBS veg. oil
1TBS soy sauce
1TBS sugar
2tsp white vinegar
2TBS toasted sesame seeds (I never make it with these....but Sarah does and its good, I'm just lazy)
Steam the broccoli. In a seperate small sauce pan combine oil, vinegar, sugar, and soy sauce. Heat until sugar has melted. Drizzle over broccoli and sprinkle with seeds.
Let me know how it works for you....and if anyone else has a idea for other veggies pass them along!!
By the way I thought I would just tell you this too......the meatloaf last night was to die for too. I just mixed 1 lb ground beef, 1 egg, S&P, 1/2 cup brown rice, and half of an onion diced. Made a few little balls and put them in a muffin tin and pushed a little cave in the center. I poured salsa in the little cave and then baked them until they were brown.....oh they were good.

Love the broccoli and today we jsut happen to be having meatloaf. I wonder if Emmy will mind that I make it in muffin tins? Sounds like a great plan to me. I'll take pictures and let you know how it goes.
Let me just tell you about that sesame sauce. We here at Halpin literay put it on EVERYTHING!!!! baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, pork, chicken, broccoli, ramon noodles, anything that we can think of. It is everyones favorite, that and special taco meat!
