The Ocean

This morning when Ellis woke up and we told him that we were going to go to "the local library" he said "oh bummer, I wanna go to the ocean." I didn't really know what he meant other than I'm always talking about the beach and how it really is a bummer that he hasn't been there yet. I told him we could get a book about the beach at the library and that seemed to be good enough for him.

On our way home from the library we finally realized that he was calling the rec. center's pool "the ocean". Since Trevor and I are suckers we gave in this evening. We had to get to the gocery store if we were going to eat anything this week so as soon as they woke up from their naps we raced there. Trevor joked the whole time because on the way there I told him he was going to have to focus if we were going to do this quickly. (He has a tendancy to wonder in the grocery store.....well just about anywhere!)
Trevor did a great job paying attention and we made it home in record time. We made, and then ate dinner faster than ever before. Ellis was so excited to wear a swimmy diaper again. (I don't get it??)
Anyway we had another great night at "the ocean." Tonight we spent most of our time on the frog slide and playing stiffy up in the 4 ft. He makes his legs really stiff and stands in our hands while we lift him higher and higher until he falls into the water.
They both crashed as soon as their little bottoms hit their beds. I again must say this rec center "ocean" was a great find!!

What a fun water park! How nice that you can go year round. I think that might be even better to have than a library. Gosh, we gotta get out of this town! You all are an adorable little family in your bathing suits.

Who was having the most fun?.... Ellis or Trevor? After all Trev's the one who would start shucking-off his clothes as soon as he hit GG's front door so he could swim in her tub!!! So glad this is available for you guys! Did Alaire enjoy the water?

Love Ya! O'ma

I love the 'local library' and 'oh bummer...' -- for many great laughs, just tune in to a 2-year old for the day! What a fun little man. Your 'ocean' looks fantastically fun, by the way. That is JUST the ticket for winter blahs!
