All about Alaire

I guess Alaire has a lot going on in her life too. I mean I'm sure if she were the only child in our house I would not have so easily forgotten the big news in her life. Last night and the night before Alaire slept for 8 hrs. She actually did it 4 nights ago too but the one in between she back slid a little and only slept 6 hrs. (I'm not complaining.) She is beating her brother with sleeping through the night by about a week and a half.
Alaire is also going to be baby Jesus in all four services at our church. The week prior to Christmas she Trevor and I will be playing Mary, Joeseph, and baby Jesus for the live Nativity too. It is quite the compliment to her because there were a few other babies up for the part but they asked Alaire to do it all because she is such a calm baby. I know this picture says otherwise but I don't blame her. I never was one for holiday themed attire either.
She is getting so big. I just can't wait to see how much she has grown at her next appointment in a few weeks. When I dressed her up in this outfit today Trevor said wow she looks like a big kid. By the way anyone out there have any suggestions as to how I can make tights not look weird on her legs. They look huge around her feet. Better yet does anyone know where I could get some to fit her?
I think this outfit is so cute on her. Oma got it for her when she was here. It is still a little big (I had to pin the pants) but I was worried she wouldn't get to wear it if I didn't because she is getting so long. It has a little hat with it too. Ellis loved that she had a hat on today because it was green just like his.
I hope this little update on Alaire will hold everyone over for a little while. She really is the best baby. I was telling my mom the other day that I really don't even know what soothes her because she never gets upset to where I have to try to find out what works, shhhhing, rocking, singing, or patting. She just goes with the flow.

She looks huge. And I must say I think she is starting to look like Trevor. I can't wait until she tries on some of the outfits that we have been working on.

Yea for Alaire! She is so like Anna.. I love it! Enjoy the no "soothing" things... I love her sweet outfits and enjoy getting that perfect Christmas picture with two kids..On the tights.... Try Wal-Mart "George" Brand or Little Me. They are both tiny...If you will give me your address I can mail you a pair of ours cause we have way to many. We will need some blog pics of your nativity debut!

You might not like this, but I think GAP has the best tights for babies...they cost $10 (ouch) but both of my girls wore the same pair for each of their first Christmases and if I have another girl, she will wear them too! They are well-fitted around the ankles and don't look so much like tubes. Anyways, and more importantly, Alaire is so pretty, I wish I could meet her in person! Both of your kids, they are adorable.

Oh wait, and they carry the tights with Mary Jane "shoes" on the feet (they aren't really shoes, they're like the mary jane socks, but tights. ok, I'm obssessed!

I love all of the pictures of Alaire. The shorts outfit is so precious...I love it! I also must say I am a little jealous about her sleeping through the night already. Congrats on the potty training...Since he hated having his diaper changed so much, I guess he's ready to be done with them! As for tights, the ones I love are from gymboree...they have always fit Camdyn really well.

She is precious. I love that she is baby Jesus. You need to get her a nativity ornament for this year so that she can keep it forever. And then when she is older she will have it forever. I love to put out the the 26 ornaments my parents got me every year growing up (they still get me one). We have started the same tradition with John Hunter.

I love the pics of your kiddos, I was whining to Kimmi that she, and Sarah, and you hadn't blogged lately and I felt very out of the loop. I am looking forward to maybe finally meeting you after Christmas, since I already know y'all. :) I also wondered if you got any good recipes when you asked everyone? I am still working on cooking dinner when I get home from work and we always want to eat out because we always eat the same stuff.

I'm with Laura that Gap has the best ones and they don't get worn-looking. The ones with the Mary Jane feet are our favorites, too. We had ones with red feet and black last year, and I hate having to put shoes on her this year b/c those tights look cuter than real shoes. :) She's SO stinking cute I can't get over it!

Oma....
I loved the pictures you blogged of Alaire! She is so sweet and getting bigger every day.
I love that you three are going to be Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus! (What will Ellis do while you are in the program?) We were at OCC's Living Christmas Tree last Fri. and they had Pres. Proctor's new baby girl as their baby Jesus. One of her older sisters played the part of Mary. What was so sweet - they just basically had a blanket around her mid-section .... her arms and feet were free to kick and wiggle. It was so touching ... my eyes teared up. Hope you do take pictures for the blog!

Love Ya!
