We have had a running joke in our house for the last few weeks that Trevor loves to call "WWCD." I get made fun of a lot because I'm always telling him to be careful and that I don't think whatever he is about to do is a good idea. One day last week we were in the car and I was telling him that sometimes I think he should just step back and ask himself what I would do. He laughed and said oh yeah give me an example. I chose 3 off of the top of my head.
#1 He took the grill to work a few weeks ago. I said "be careful and take the back roads I don't think the grill will be able to stand the highway in the back of your truck." He took back roads on the way there.....the grill was fine.....he took the highway on the way home......the grill fell over.
#2 He was lighting candles on Halloween and was looking for something to display a little tea candle in and was headed out the door with one of my small vases. I said "I don't know if that is a good idea, I feel like it will break from the heat." Well it didn't get broken from the heat.....but it did get broken!
#3 He and Ellis enjoy playing golf in the front yard. Ellis doesn't move it that far yet but when Trevor hits it he can really launch it. A few days after Alaire was born I was catching a little shut eye during the day and Trevor Oma and Ellis were outside playing a little golf. From what I hear Trevor was trying to chip the ball over the bush on the corner of the house.......now I think you probably know where I'm going with this but if it were up to me....."ball" and "corner of the house" would never be in the same sentence. His club got caught in the grass and his ball got caught in the window.
After hearing how quick I came up with three examples of why he should be taking a step back and thinking what I would do before making the decision he has really enjoyed his new catch phrase "WWCD." He laughs but I really think there might be something to this "what would cassie do."
For anyone who is wondering the window was fixed today. (by a professional) It only took a month and actually very little nagging.....I have to say I'm sorta impressed.

This is hilarious. We have the same conversation often... What would Mike and Trevor do without us? !
I have to tell Will the same thing a lot, too. It's AMAZING how differently women's and men's brains are "wired!"
What can I say...Mom's always know best. I think it is because we are always working on ten things at once. If men didn't have us what on earth would they do. Glad to hear that the window got fixed.
O'ma...
Yeah! The window got fixed!!! So glad it was done before winter really set in out there.
We now have a new Dunham Sports Store in Wabash. Guess what they have there...... golf clubs for little boys & girls ages 3-8 yrs.! They are so little and cute. I bet you are just dying to have us send Ellis a set? WWCD?
Love Ya!
