One of the sponsers that works with us with the youth is a preschool teacher and she got two baby ducks to take to her class so that her students could watch them grow. She and her daughter love Ellis and wanted to make sure that he got to see the ducks. By this picture it looks like I'm more scared of them than he is but at first he was a little unsure. It turned out that he loved them.
He did try to sqeeze one to death but we coaxed him away with their dog. It was actually his dream afternoon. They have the ducks but they also have a dog and a cat that he made sure to play with before we left.
It was so warm that day that we decided to get his pool out. I guess I had the idea a little late in the afternoon. It would have been perfect if I would have filled it up and then came out a few hours later once the water had warmed up. We filled it up with the hose and then warmed it up with a few pitchers from the faucet.
He loved the slide and my back was killing me when we finally went inside. We kept having to tell him not to drink the water. There was dust caked all over the bottom of the slide but he didn't seem to mind.

I love the ducklings...remember Pepit and Poppit? We got to keep them until the had white feathers. What stinkin ducks! I love o'ma and o'pa's story about the lamb.
Today we will probably be shoveling snow....I thouhght we had moved south?
