Super Fun Friday!!

Last night when I asked the kids what their favorite part of the day was Ellis said, "all of it! The museum, the dinner, the bikes and the milkshake!" I'm with him! It was a really great day!!

It is Ashley's Spring Break this week so they invited us to go the the Natural History Museum with them. Ellis was really excited because he is really in to dinosaurs right now. He has been asking to go to the dinosaur museum for a while now so when we walked in the door and saw a huge T-Rex he was ready for some fun.

He matched all of the dinosaur skeletons to the correct dinosaur.

Alaire thought her head being big was so funny and Ashley kept showing her how to make her belly big.

They had so much fun that these are the only pictures that I got. I would love to take them back and read some of the signs a little more. They just wanted to move from room to room as fast as they could to make sure they saw everything.

I made chicken tortilla soup for dinner and apparently Ellis thought it was really good. It was really good but I was surprised that he added that to his highlights for the day.

After dinner we went to our new favorite bike trails to "mountain bike." Most of the trails are sidewalks but there are a few portions that are pea gravel and they love to trek through them. Alaire has gotten really good at the Stryder bike so we are thinking wammy will have another "training wheel extraction project" when she is here in a few weeks.

The sunset was gorgeous last night and Trevor and I took tons of pictures. I texted mine to a few people with the caption "All most heaven... Colorado!" My brother Bryce texted back, "don't rub it in!"

Trevor sent one to his brother T.D. who lives in CA a couple of miles from the beach. T.D. sends us sunset pictures every once in a while so these were our competing pictures.

After the bike ride dad took us for a sweet treat at Chick-fil-a. Really, who can say no to one of their chocolate milkshakes??

Can you believe the Museum was "FREE" when Trevor was Ellis' age?!? I can hardly believe it myself.

Glad you had such a good day and recorded it here. They grow up so fast!

Hope you told the kids that the dinosaurs were not millions of years old. That is a fun museum to visit. Trevor should remember it well.
