I know I said I was just going to be dumping pictures for a while but I really feel like this one deserves its own post!Ellis started riding a 2 wheeler at 3 yrs. old but Trevor and I weren't really sure if Alaire would follow suit or not. For the longest time we really had to encourage her to ride the strider bike and she just didn't seem interested then about a month or two ago she was always asking to ride it. She rode it so much over that time that she had gotten really good at putting her feet up and balancing. My mom came for a week and since she is the one that taught Ellis we decided to wait for wammy to teach Alaire too.
wammy didn't have to really do any teaching for this one at all. She stood one one side of the driveway and I stood at the stop sign. Alaire put her feet on the pedals and wammy gave her a push and she rode right to me. I don't think she knew she was doing it but she rode a couple of times like that and then we took her into the street and she was off. Trevor and I even took her out 2 nights ago and she can turn and start herself. All that is left now is learning to brake and she will be headed to DQ!
She is sooooo proud of herself and asks nearly everyday if she can ride her bike to the park. :)
I keep trying to add a video of her but my computer is saying it is unavailable. I'll keep trying but if you want to watch I know it works on my FB page!
