It just seems like we have been up to a lot of random stuff lately. One night we were looking for ways to entertain the kids before bed and we started watching videos of them when they were younger. I think we all loved it so I guess random is fun....... so here you go.
I can't even remember exactly what he was doing but he had just eaten ice cream and I requested a picture because it looked like he had a mustache.
There were a few warmer days last week and Ellis wanted to go rollerblading. He is much much better this year but Alaire did get a chance to remind us how much our backs enjoying lugging a 3 yr. old on roller skates up and down the sidewalk.
Ellis and Alaire are really into costumes right now. I have been sorting through some things that are to small for them and we found Ellis' Halloween costume from when he was 3. Alaire pretended she was a dragon all morning long.
These next two pictures are of another before bed time activity. Trevor came up with a craft for them. Alaire LOVES crafts and surprisingly Ellis somewhat enjoyed most of it. They wrote each letter of their names on a piece of paper and then thought of animals that started with those letters that they could make out of random craft supplies.
Ellis made an Elephant, Lion, Lizard, Inchworm and Snake.
Alaire made and Antelope, Llama, Ant, Inchworm, Rabbit, and Eagle.
Completely unrelated but I really want to remember both of these stories so here ya go....
1. Tonight I was sitting int he floor near Alaire's bathroom door waiting for her to finish brushing her teeth and I saw pen lines on the wall in front of me. I asked Ellis about it (knowing who likely did it) and he said he didn't know about it. Then I asked Alaire about it and she looked at it very closely. I said, "Alaire do you know who did that?" She got a hilarious look on her face that had me laughing and then she looked at me very seriously and said, "Oh mom, that was a monster that did that!" Thankfully Trevor stepped in at that point because I could not have handled the, "Alaire where do we color?" "tell the truth" conversation. Oh that girl at 13 frightens me!
2. Lately conversations between Alaire and I go like this on her end about 50 times a day....
Mom, right? I just wear my boots when there is snow, right?
Mom, right? Ellis can have pizza for lunch if he wants, right?
Mom, right? we don't have stinky feet and the boys do, right?
and many many many more "Mom, rights?"
