Ellis' 5th birthday Picture Dump

Ellis is 5!! He has been so excited to celebrate and has been getting gifts all week long. Mam and Pap sent money and he got to buy a truck he has been wanting for a long time. He also got new shoes and jeans. Oma and Opa sent him a Toy Story lego set that he loves, the movie Toy Story, and another pair of jeans. (He really needed jeans. The 5Ts that I had bought him in early fall where way to short.)Peep and GG both sent money that he is still thinking about how to spend. Pappy and wammy got him and Alaire a family pass to the Denver Children's Museum and Trevor, Alaire and I got him skis and a sword and shield.

He requested cinnamon rolls and the crazy straw for breakfast.

Andrea and Ashley introduced us the the Children's Museum earlier this year and Ellis has been talking about the Fire Truck ever since. This year was family party year for him so he chose the museum.

He spent a lot of time at the fire truck!

Alaire loved the grocery store.

The new bubble room was really cool!

Ellis and Alaire slammed into one another in the tree house and Ellis got himself a birthday shiner.

Their fishing skills would make the Meadows side very proud.

In the morning when he woke up he said, "mom, I really think I grew some when I was sleeping."

After a long afternoon nap for the kiddos we had the usually Saturday night crew over for birthday dinner. Ellis wanted steak but we told him we would save that for another night. Instead, we had taco soup and bean bread.

He
was surprised with more presents from his buddies. Ashley brought him a bunch of Lightening McQueen stuff, even a super cool new towel for the Rec Center and a Pixos thing-a-magig and Jack got him a Tech Deck skate park with skate board.

It only took five years for him to realize birthday cakes can go way beyond the normal fun-fetti cupcakes. He asked for, "that yummy cake dad had for his birthday." Ally Pally cake it was (thanks so much to Mamma T in Cville!)

After scarfing down our dinner we rushed off to church where he was ecstatic to move up to the 5 yr. old class with his buddy Jack. I finally got a picture with him at the very end of the day. I can not believe that he is 5!!

Alaire wanted in on the pictures too so I obliged.

I'm so glad his birthday
was Saturday because they both seemed super grumpy on Sunday and today we found out it was because they were getting sick. Today I have two sick kids just laying around on the couch.

Wow! Ellis had a super-fun birthday! It is always a kick to read your blog and keep up with what is happening with all of you.

So sorry the fun ended with them getting sick! Hope it managed to be just those two and not Mom and Dad, too. Are they feeling better yet?

When are you going skiing?

Wow, your kiddos have gotten so big! Amazing how fast the time goes. Olivia will be 5 in just a couple of weeks! So hard to believe. Hope you guys are doing wonderfully. We're expecting #4 later on this January :).
