Buy me last pape' Miss?

Ellis has been waiting and waiting for this day. Every time we go to wammy and Pappy's house he gets to help Michael do his paper route and ever since the last time they did it he has asked when he could get one.

Our friends are out of town this week so Mr. David asked if we wanted to do his wed. paper route for him. I jumped at the chance because I knew Ellis would love it.

This route was much larger that Michael's so I wasn't sure if it would hold Ellis' attention or not but he helped me roll them all.

Towards the end he even got pretty good at putting them in the bag.

He stuffed the bags David gave us. I love his face in this picture..... such a cheese.

I let him pass two whole laundry bags full and it was a real test of my patience. I had to drive up onto the sidewalk in order for him to get it into their driveway. He loved the houses with fences because he tried to throw them over the fence.

The kids switched seats and it was Alaire's turn. The little Diva was more of a hindrance than a help but I tried not to let on like she was. She got to pass 1 whole bag by herself and then she cried for awhile about her baby not having it's hat on right, her feet being cold, being thirsty, wanting kid music, etc. (you get the idea). Thankfully for Ellis and I she then decided to just take her afternoon nap a little early. I was fine with that idea!

All in all it was a fun time and I'm thinking we may get out own route. I told them they both get $10 for their work and their eyes got as big as saucers!!

So they want to follow in their Opa's footsteps! You are certainly very very patient with them, Cassie! You get 5 gold stars!!! Sound like you all worked very hard for your money (and your friend Dave.)
