Casa Bonita

While Auntie Em was here I posted a status on FB asking for suggestions on fun things to do while she was here. I got a few people who said we should go to Casa Bonita and with Trevor's memories of his childhood visits we thought we should give it a go.

The day we went I researched a little on the internet and began to second guess our decision. I started third guessing it when we sat through downtown traffic for what seemed like hours and I was fourth guessing it when I walked in to check out the wait and it smelled like the cleaner they use in port-a-potties.

We gave it a shot though and I'm so glad we did. I don't really plan on going back in the near future but it was a fun one time trip! This place is unbelievable you really can't imagine it. It is just something you have to experience it yourself. They have a mariachi band, pirates, magicians, puppet shows, a 14 ft. deep pool in the middle of the restaurant that divers jump into, flame throwing divers and more! One of the reviews said it is like Taco Bell meets Chuck E Cheese. That is a pretty good description plus more!
We had a great table right in front of the main stage with great views of the diver. The kids didn't eat a thing!

It was really fun. The food was terrible. Auntie Em spoiled them and they had a blast!!

Denver.... 3rd Grade fieldtrip..... different rooms represent different places in Mexico.... Do they still have you raise the flag for refills? (I agree that the food isn't the best.... but the atmosphere makes up for a lot.)
