Disaster Diverted!

Yesterday was a awesome (ah, my dear friend sarcasm) day around here. I have a terrible cold that came from some intense allergies and by nap time it was apparent that Alaire now had a green nose too. Ellis was helping to repay me for all of the days in my childhood that I spent whining and Alaire now actually had a reason for her whining. I could take it no more by afternoon so we packed up the car and backed out....... when THAT happened! I wasn't planning on a trip to Wal-mart but that is exactly where we went. Thank goodness Auntie Em was already planning on getting Ellis a new bike for his birthday. That she did, just a few months earlier than expected.
We have now had many discussions on why Mommy's Durango is like a Monster truck when it comes to little boy's bikes and how we must always put our things away when we are finished with them.

He absolutely loves it so I'm seeing many more days at the dirt track in our near future. Which, by the way I have just posted a new movie of him riding his old bike around the course. Check to the left and click on BMX Baby!

*** For those of you that asked what the little sista does while we are at the dirt track. She insists on the helmet and then we hit the hills in our own sort of way. I wish I could record audio on her while I'm running them. She laughs so hard and as soon as I take a break she starts with the, "mores momma, faster."

Wow! I just finished watching Ellis ride around the BMX course..... twice! Ellis is crazy good on his bike! (How is he on the new bike?)
Loved hearing Alaire tell you to, "Go! Momma! Go!"

maybe you should have someone video you and Alaire running over those hills. AFHV you could be the big winner!!!

I love to watch that little Ellis go on his bike. He is really great for a 3 yr. old. It is also cute to hear Alaire in the background saying to "Go" to Mom. Keep it up Ellis!!! Love, O'Pa

That is too funny! I ran over my stroller by backing up into it, now we have a cheap umbrella stroller.

How fun that Alaire laughs when you run the hills! When I run with Kendra she throws things over the side of the stroller, tries to reach over and grab the wheels, and then cries when she gets bored of all of that. :)

I was at a party today and saw a boy turning 5 today with a bike like Ellis' "old" bike and training wheels. I started talking about Ellis and his BMX riding!!! And NO training wheels...

Oh no! I can't even tell you how many times I've come close to hitting the bike in the drive. Or how many times I nag about putting said bike away!!

Hope you're all feeling better soon!
