I am incredibly behind so I'm sure you are going to get the short version and we will just have to hope that a picture really is worth a thousand words.....or in this case a few thousand. I may have gone a little over board on the photos this time but sometimes it is just so hard to choose.
As you can see Alaire has had her first major injury, holding off until 10 months is pretty good I think! She took one for the team when her brother was playing "baseball" with the vacuum attachment. With his mighty swing the attachment within the attachment came flying out and took her eye hostage. It really isn't as bad as it looks. It turned out to be 2 scrapes just under her eye.
This was something I set up for Ellis to get over the gate himself but it quickly got moved when I heard, "Hey Mom look. Good job Alaire, you did it all by yourself!" Something tells me there are more injuries to come. (Ellis never would have even thought of trying this at this age.)
Breakfast this morning got postponed.....tractors are much more important!
Our lawn is now HOA approved, which in turn means it is up to baby skin standards and Alaire is loving eating, crawling, and rubbing those little toesies through it.
Oma and Opa's last day here was really rainy so while Ellis and Daddy jumped puddles and made pirate ships to float down the road Alaire hung out inside with Oma and attempted to eat the tape the boys used.
Love that picture.

Love, Love, Love the pirate ship! I can't wait to show Michael. He will love it too. The puddle jumping made me smile. And Alaire's eye looks like it hurts! Glad it is only a scarath or two. Looks a lot like Bryce's cheek and the dog bite. Dad won't want to look at it.
Wow... get ready girl... think she's only 10 months! I think she may be like my little Anna! Poor baby her little eye looks so sad. Ellie still talks about "the boy". It makes us sad every time we look at pics and realize what a great week we had with you guys!
Poor Alaire! Ellis really has a strong arm. I guess it will be like Dad said about inside golf.... Ellis is just getting too good with swinging a bat and a golf club!!
I'm so glad you allow Ellis to be a little boy and play in the rain and jump in puddles!
Your lawn is look'n good!
P.S. We miss you! Thanks for a wonderful time!
Reminds me of when Emmy's face ran into the dog leash that i was swinging around. Needless to say she wasn't the smartest kid on the block.
I love the picture of the boys walking in the rain! Poor Alaire's eye; Turner gave me a black eye when he was 2 or so by "pitching" a Thomas the Tank Engine at me while I was nursing Layni. I was just thankful at the time it hit me and not her but I had to defend Will from people's comments for several days. :)
