Pagosa Part #4- downtown to the festival

Wednesday the Sheltons decided to go to Durango but we really didn't think Alaire would be up for the ride so we stuck around Pagosa and ended up having a blast. There was a children's festival at city park so we went to that and then walked along the river walk to scope out what the Hot Springs were all about.

The festival was really cool. There was an orchestra that played while a man read two different books. One book was about a bunch of animals and children from the area were dressed in costume and acted out the story while it was read.

Alaire had a balloon throughout the show and it proved to be great entertainment for her!

We did get to feel the hot water trickling down the side of a rock and pooling at the bottom but after spying the Springs from the other side of the river Trevor and I decided that it just didn't look like it was worth it to us but Mike and Holly did go the next night while we watched their kids and they loved it!
