What a day

I've said it before and I will say it again, I love Mondays! We had so much fun today. It was probably the best day so far this year weather wise and we definately took advantage of it. We were outside by 9am washing cars. This is one of Ellis' favorite summertime activities (definately the Oakes in him). After that we cleaned out the garage and did a little weeding. During the cleaning process Ellis pushed Alaire around in the umbrella stroller, which they both thought was pretty awesome.

After an all family nap time (another favorite part of Mondays) we went into to town and picked up dinner from GG's favorite restraunt, The Armadillo, and then went out to eat dinner with her. Ellis loves going to her house because she has this little tiny pumkin that is on a spring and suction cup. When it looses suction it pops up in the air. He asks for it right when he enters the door. I think GG was really surprised to see how much Alaire has grown. She rolled around and played in the floor while all of us ate and then it was such a gorgeous night that we went out and sat on the front porch. It was really a great time with GG and we have learned that dinner at her place works tons better for our kids than lunch.

**I feel like I need to add a disclaimer for the lack of Ellis photos lately. Lately I am having to bribe him or trick him into getting a good picture and it is starting to rarely be worth all of the work, so please just be with me on this one and lets just be happy with what we can get!

No wonder I could not get a hold of you yesterday. Sounds like a fun day. We are dancing in the rain here. I lvoe how it greens everything up but I don't like it that oneof us sleeps in the couch in the basement to make sure we don't get any wayer . Dadis the best at the watching thing....Alaire does look like she has grown a lot. Ellis jsut looks the same...fun as always. Can't wait until you get here.

So your kid is on "smile strike", too? I can relate. Must be the 2-year-old thing to do??? =) The kids are adorable, as always!

Great picture of Alaire with her grandma.. Ellie loves to push Anna in anything... It takes forever, but atleast we can go on a walk and everyone is happy! Can't wait to see our kids all play together!

GG looks so happy in these pictures! (It makes me get all teary-eyed.) That was a great idea. I'm so glad you thought of it!

Aria didn't want her picture taken when she was here in Jan. I think all kids just go through this love/hate relationship with the camera. (By the way, Cassie, I seem to remember you were camera shy yourself the last time we were together. It must be an "age-less" thing.)

Ellis and Alaire both look happy and definately bigger!
