Likes and Dislikes

In the last week or so Ellis has been fascinated with us telling him about what he did when he was a baby. He will repeat what we have told him throughout the day and watches for the things that Alaire likes. Alaire scrunches up her nose and then blows air out in short little blows whenever she is excited so I told Ellis that when he was little if he was excited he would flap his arms really fast. He also enjoys that fact that Alaire likes to chew on spoons just like he did; little does he know she is nowhere near as obsessed with them as he was.
Ellis is at the age where he is able to tell us his favorite things now so I thought I would list a few of them here for all of you to see and also so I have a list that I can come back to when I have forgotten. I think I will do it for Alaire too, even though she can’t tell us it is pretty easy to figure out what she likes and dislikes.

Ellis likes:
Basketball
Dips (BBQ sauce, ketchup, dressing, salsa)
His classes at church
Frisbee
Skateboards
Library books
Playing chase
When daddy (his favorite playmate) gets home
To get out of the car by way of the window
Blue cheese
Word World
Having shoes on at all times
Making up songs
Sharing Nachos with mom for lunch
Anything Michael likes
To snuggle


Ellis dislikes:
When the sprinkler gets him
Sitting on the step (time out)
When we make him try to put his clothes on by himself
Taking his basketball uniform off
Keeping the toys in the play room


Alaire likes:
Fruit, especially bananas
Rolling around the house
Music
When Ellis comes in to get her after a nap
To be tickled
Going for walks in the snuggli
Chewing on spoons
Bath time
Clapping her hands
Her wankies


Alaire dislikes:
Meat
Staying still for a diaper change
Going back to sleep in her bed after being asleep in the car
Avocado
Having her face wiped off
