Pappy and Wammy are back from Vegas...or "Degas" as Ellis likes to call it. They have a bunch of pictures and tons of really cool gifts so check my mom's blog in the next few days to see what they have been up to.
Here a just a few pictures from our last few days.

Auntie Em and I took the boys to the store with us the other day and if they were good they got to pick a treat. They both picked a cute little single serve of Ben and Jerry's chocolate ice cream. It came with this tiny spoon in the lid which Ellis thought was great. I assure you he was chocolate inside and out by the end of it.

Alaire had her first bite of applesauce and still is not a fan of food. I now have to give her another spoon to hold and when she takes that one to her mouth I jam mine in instead, otherwise I can't get her to open her mouth.
She continues to wake up most nights every three hours and I have to nurse her to get her to stop crying. (She really has a temper on her!) I know this is just because we are here and I haven't let her cry herself back to sleep like I normally would at home but it is really getting old. If anyone has any great ideas and suggestions for how to ease her back in to sleeping through the night when we get home I would love to hear them!!

Last night after their bath the boys made up a new game they are calling chute ball. One of them stands down stairs with a bucket at the bottom of the laundry chute and the other one drops a nerf ball down the chute from the kitchen. Then they yell at one another to see if it was a good drop.

Disregard whatever that large pile is under the bucket. (I know it appears to be dirty laundry, but I think my camera must just have a smudge on the lens!)

You are having a very long visit... so fun and I am so glad you are not in CO by yourself! I think you might be surprised that Alaire will work herself back into a normal sleep routine when you are in CO. I know my kids act crazy when we travel or have guests and then it is back to normal when everything settles down. Anna has much more of a temper as well.. the tempers could really be flying in July when we have 4 kids under 2... I do think they have "kids club" activities for Ellie and Ellis which would be nice for us!
I love Chute ball, we could have played that fun game in Topeka. Maybe we can work something out from the stairwell...still not nearly as fun.
miss you guys,
Dad
I think that my eyes must have smudges on them everytime I look into my room.
Chute ball looks like tons of fun for the guys. Glad its just a nerf ball going down and not something heavier. We miss you, too! Have a safe flight home!
