Alaire had her first few bites of cereal last night. I had been planning to wait until she was 6 months but everytime she is with us when we eat she can't take her eyes off of our food and utensils. I think she has been ready for a while to drop her 9pm feeding too but I was waiting for her to have cereal as a "just in case" so she hopefully wouldn't wake up at 3am hungry. We dropped that feeding last night too. I would say it went pretty well. She did wake up around 3am but went back to sleep when I gave her her paci.
She did the usual spit it all out all over the place with her cereal. Hopefully she will get the hang of it in the next few weeks but last night it was all over her. Ellis thinks its funny when she blows bubbles and spits so of course they both were in on it. I think they like to perform for one another.
I made the cereal with a bottle that I had frozen so I decided to see if she would drink the few ounces that were in there. Yeah right, guess I should have started the bottle way before now but I'm lazy and it just seems like so much more work. Either she didn't want it at all or she had no idea what it was. Instead of drinking it she just tongue wrestled with it. I sure Ellis did nothing but help with the confusion! (Please excuse the mess behind them, I have no idea what happened! My house is always spotless and things, such as toys and laundry baskets, are always in their correct storage places. And my son never has leftovers from lunch all over his face at dinner time, I guess it just appears that way in the picture.)

I've been told if you house is spotless then your kids are not having fun!
Amen to the spotless...My kids must be having the best time of their lives!
We don't have any kids in the house .... so... maybe its the fish! I bet they mess up the house when we're not looking!
