First off let me say thanks to all of you that answered my previous blog on “Who is who.” I’m still wondering on many more cities so if you have yet to comment on that post please do!!
Now for what you really wanted to know:
Daddy is home again and Ellis’ world is back to spinning on it’s axis. All week he would ask, “Where is Daddy?” I answered a few hundred times, “he is on a trip with Don he will be home on Saturday” until I just got plain sick of it and just started asking him the same thing he had just asked me.
Each time Trevor called and talked to Ellis he would ask him what they should do together when Daddy got home. Every single time Ellis’ answer would be that they should skateboard. The funny thing is that we don’t have any skateboards; they just put on their helmets and then they gallop and skip up and down the hall yelling, “skateboard skateboard.” As soon as we got home from church that is exactly what the two of them did. We haven’t really figured out why but for some reason Daddy is the only one he ever wants to skateboard with. (No complaints here!)
Growing up whenever my Dad went on a trip, which wasn’t often, he would bring us home a little present. I remember eagerly waiting to hear the front door open and to hear my dad’s voice saying, “I’m home.” I was excited to see him, don’t get me wrong, but I was really excited to see what he had brought me. Sometimes it would be something big like the Hard Rock Café t-shirt from Vegas that I still had well into college or sometimes it would be the extra peanuts that the flight attendant gave him on the plane. It didn’t really matter what it was, it was just something to tell me that he remembered me and missed us while he was away.
I had told Trevor when he called one time that he should bring Ellis home a little present. In Ellis’ eyes he did stupendous on this one! He got him a Linguini doll and Remi from one of his favorite movies, Ratatouille. It is now 8am and he is in front of the T.V. watching his movie and eating popcorn “like Michael.” He was up at 7am asking to do this but I insisted on breakfast being first. He scarfed down his oatmeal and now we are right back where we started

That boy makes me laugh! Love the outfit. Funny you should say popcorn...we have already had ours today too. I need some of those cool little popcorn things to put it in. Glad your world is back to normal.
Skateboarding at your house sounds like and fun SAFE way to skate! Especially with the cool helmets!
Hope Trevor brought YOU a little gift, too, Cassie to let you know he missed you while he was galavanting all over the country looking at colleges. (What a wicked time of year to travel! Thankful he got home safely.)
