First I would like to dedicate this blog to Peep (the greatest softball and baseball coach that ever lived) and to a friend who just found out she is having a boy, get ready now because balls and who knows what else will be flying all over your house pretty soon!

When we were at camp last week Ellis lugged around this red bat everywhere we went. (Actually we are already at the stage where mom carries everything, so really I did most of the lugging, but those are just details right.) Anyway it went everywhere with us until it was time to go and Trevor told him that it wasn’t his bat, it was Alister’s (the little boy who’s dad was on staff) and we needed to leave it at camp. I was backing out of the driveway where we had parked to pack up and Ellis was screaming for his bat when I heard a little knock on my car window. When I looked over I saw Alister with the bat in his hand. I rolled down my window and he said, “He can have this if he wants it.”

So here we are with sweet little Alister’s bat and I’m sure I’m about due for another broken window. Yesterday right after breakfast Ellis was begging Trevor to play baseball and since I have banned all ball throwing in the house they were forced to play with a balloon as their ball. This actually worked out very well for Ellis. The hand eye coordination just hasn’t gotten there yet so since the balloon moves much slower he actually got a few hits.

The funny part was when Trevor was trying to get him to run the bases. He was using a chair for second and Ellis kept running straight there and then just sitting down. This morning when he wanted to play again we had a chair for both second and third. This really confused him because yesterday third was the vacuum. He kept shrugging his shoulders and saying, “Mommy I no find third.”

BETTER TAKE THAT BAT AWAY FROM ELMO BEFORE HE BREAKS A WINDOW OR SOMETHING ELSE THEN GIVE IT BACK WHEN HE IS 5 OR 7

Ellie just was looking at her pictures and saw Ellis and thought it was herself. They do kind of look alike!
