Ellis has discovered his love for pickles.....again!!
Trevor had a jar in the fridge when we got home and Ellis finished them off yesterday. He ate two before dinner last night while we were cooking and then asked me for a pickle for breakfast this morning.
And now for another funny Ellis story.....We went to church last night and had to rush home to make dinner so we could get him to bed on time. Every night before bed we read a book, say prayers, and then hugs and kisses and he is off to bed. We always ask him what or who he wants to pray for and only once has he really seemed like he gets it. (he answered Aunt Sarah Beth) Every other time though he says he wants to pray for "my airplane or my new potty" so there we are thanking God for his airplane and potty over and over again. So anyway last night we asked him what he wanted to pray for and it took him forever to answer but I was sure he said "my teacher." He loves his teacher Miss Molly at church so I got so excited and said "oh Ellis thats a great idea lets pray for Miss Molly." Trevor started cracking up and I thought he was mocking me until he was finally able to catch his breath and tell me "I think he said he wants to pray for my choo choo." I asked him again and Trevor was right......the choo choo. Oh well, we thanked God for the choo choo once again and then I added an extra thanks for Miss Molly.
I just had to add this picture to beg for sympathy. My little boy has gotten big and I didn't even really notice it until yesterday during dinner. I bent down to grab something I had dropped on the floor and this is what I saw. Not only has he grown out of everything 'baby' but somehow he grew out of 'toddler' as well! What can I do to make this stop? Before I know it he isn't going to want hugs and kisses before bed time!

Good job on the pickles now we just need to work on the banana peppers. I sure that will be next! Just promise me you WILL Not teach him to mix up mustard and ketchup and eat it out f a bowl. Oh the Ellis side and their condiments.

O'ma,
Once there are 2 of those little guys ... growth spurts are a shock. (The Oakes boys were good at shocking us with that trick many times through the years.) I get the same kind of shock seeing pic's of Alaire! SHE has really been growing, too. They are just the cutest grandkids around! Give them hugs & kisses for us!
Love Ya! Missing you in Indiana
