a whole lot of busy and fun

Wow I'm learning that I have to blog about every 3 days or I just get way to many pictures and then I can't possibly tell stories that go with every one, so I apologize ahead of time but you will probably have to figure a little of this out on you own.

We have been incredibly busy in the last week and it is about to get even busier. We got a package from Auntie Em and Wammy this week. It had a few things like movies and underwear in it for Ellis and then Alaire got some really cute outfits that they made. The only one that I have gotten her picture in so far is the onesie and the brown skirt. She has worn another one but she pooped in it before I could get her picture.

Dec. 7th was our anniversary and it is tradition to get our tree on that day. We went out to eat and then to get our tree. Ellis was ecstatic!! Once we had it on the top of the car we all sang "we got a Christmas tree, we got a Christmas tree, we got it, we got it, we got it yeah!" (sung to lets build a word from PBS's Word World) It also snowed all day that day never gave up until the next morning. I had been hoping we could save the snow boots for a Christmas present but the snow meant we had to get them out. I took Ellis out on Sunday morning while Alaire was sleeping. He swung for a little bit and layed down "like Michael" but mostly just kept walking and saying "I walk in snow." It was a really good workout for me because he really couldn't walk in it because it was to high. I ended up holding him under the arms and walking around the yard.

We got a present from the Rusaws this week that Ellis loved. Diane had made me an apron and then included a jar with all of the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies. Ellis loved that we all have aprons now and we had to wear them for the cookie baking. He really loves to cook but when we are making cookies he gets a little to involved with the chocolate chips and attempts to eat them all before the cookies have hit the oven.

Yesterday we participated in "A time to serve" at our church and went to a nursing home to Christmas carol. Trevor and I sang, Alaire slept and got kisses from all of the old ladies, and Ellis ate his candy cane and smiled in his Santa hat as we walked along.

Today Ellis and Daddy are having a boys day and Alaire and I are having a get away. They went sledding (and I hear there is a great video) and Alaire and I did a little shopping, went to the doctor and now I'm enjoying a bread bowl at Panera which she will also enjoy in a few hrs.

Like I said our week next week looks even busier than this one but Alaire is smiling and cooing now so I will try to get away for just a little while to post a video of that and the sledding adventure.

And one more thing......I got such a great response from my tights question I thought I would ask for a little more advice. The weather here is so dry that my face constantly feels like leather. I love the face lotion that I usually wear (I think it is ponds, it in a white pink and black bottle..jen i. would know). Anyway I feel bad wearing it now. The other night I put it on before bed and Trevor kept coughing and clearing his throat. I think he is allergic. It does have a fragrance that I like but he thinks smells like old lady. Any one have a suggestion for me.....I don't care for clinique it feels so greasy to me.
