Home Again....Finally

We haven't even been home for a week yet and so much has happened! On our way home from the airport Trevor told me he had a surprise waiting for me at home. He wanted me to guess the whole way home. My first guess was that he had painted the kitchen, needless to say the guessing stopped there because I could tell from his face that I was right. He said he wasn't sure if he liked it but I don't know why. I love it. I was so surprised because we had already painted behind the fridge just to see the color and I thought it was going to be to grey but it is exactly what I wanted and I'm so glad I didn't have to do it. Could you imagine trying to paint between nap times!!
I think this picture is hillarious. One of the boys in the youth group and his mom gave us a loaf of zuchinni bread for Christmas. I placed it on the table and thought that I could just munch on it through out the day, boy was I wrong. Once Ellis found out it was there there was no sharing. I mentioned to her on Sunday that Ellis liked it so much that he finished it, and Trevor and I didn't even get a bite of it. She brought us 2 more loaves Sunday night and Ellis is as happy as can be!

He loves to brush his teeth now. Its so funny because he will put it in his mouth and actually shake it up and down.

Three people on the plane ride home asked me what "her" name was, eventhough he was wearing brown courdoroys and a shirt with a brown bear on it so we decided it was time for a little trim. We really like his hair long with the little curls in the back so we just snipped the bangs a bit and the little fly aways on the side. It was only three snips but I thought it warranted a picture because I guess technically it was his first haircut.

This is the train that Ellis got for Christmas from Gammy and Pappy. He loves it and surprisingly to me, he even knows that if he pushes down on the engineers hat the train will go. Now we just have to teach him that if he sits on the tracks the train won't really go at all.

Yesterday and today were our first two days with Camdyn. I couldn't believe how well it went. I had been preparing myself for a hard two days because Ellis was going to have to get used to sharing me with someone and Camdyn would be getting used to me and being somewhere new. They have both done a lot better than I thought. I'm going to have to figure out how to put one down for a nap while the other wants my attention but as soon as we get that figured out I think we are going to really have fun. When Camdyn starts moving around a little more I think they are going to have a blast. Right now Ellis just likes to sit really close to her and get up in her face and squeal, as if to say "I have way more toys over there, if you will just come with me I'll show you. She doesn't seem to mind all of the noise, she just keeps on smiling. There is more about her first few days at our house, just click on "Camdyn's mom's" page.
