Ellis and I picked up Auntie Em at the airport yesterday. We didn't think she was going to ever get off the plane. We thought that everyone had gotten off so we called her cell and then we saw a lady with three screaming exhausted kids and Em was bringing up the rear with a Dora backpack in tow. I really thought that Ellis would be a little shy at first with her because he has been hiding his face in my shoulder lately when he is around anyone new but when she said hi to him he just started laughing and went right to her. When we got home it was time for bed so Auntie Em read him a book. If you look close Im not sure how much reading got done unless Emmy has some special talent that I dont know about.



I had to be sure to get a shot of this because on Emmy's ride to the airport Uncle Michael told her to "do this to Ellis he will really like it" Her hand is a dog that gives kisses on the cheek.






Ellis had prunes today for lunch and I think that you can see why. We are just waiting to see if he adds the grunt later on like his Uncle Michael.



















He is starting to try to feed himself. It is a total mess but he actually gets more in his mouth than I thought he would. Every once in a while when I'm feeding him he will take the spoon out of my hand and try it. This night was especially messy because he was eating peaches and they don't exactly stick to the spoon!










Last night we discovered that he has his first cold. I think we did pretty good to hold all of that off until he was 9 months old. Everything makes me think it is just a cold but the doctor did tell me that we was getting two more teeth on the bottom so when I saw how red his butt was today I thought well maybe it is his teeth. Oh well I guess we may never know. After we went for a swim this afternoon we decided to let him hang out for a while with no pants on just to let it get some air....yeah you guessed it....he peed all over the wood floor. I had a feeling that it would happen but let me tell ya, he has got a river of life flowing out of him!
