It was a very busy weekend for us. It was graduation weekend here so Saturday and Sunday we spent going to graduation parties. Sunday we attended three parties and Ellis got no nap but he didnt seem to mind because Trevor's parents (O'ma and O'pa) are here visiting us for a few days. Karen brought Ellis the little dog he is chewing on in the picture and he loves it! We have named it chuckles because Trevor says Ellis doesn't laugh he just chuckles. Yesterday chuckles got his ears pulled on and swung around and around over Ellis' head (It was a big hit). As soon as Karen pulled him out of the bag he couldn't keep his eyes off of him. You can't tell by the picture but he also has bright pink spots on his back.
The other picture where Ellis is wearing the stripes was to show you his new shoes. One of the boys in middle school went to a yard sale with his mom on Saturday and they found them and said that Ellis just had to have them. They are so cute and matched his outfit perfectly.
Im sure you can tell by the other two pictures why Ellis loves having his O'ma and O'pa here. They came to youth group with us yesterday and before Doug could even take a bite out of his fudgepop Ellis had his hands all over it. I guess you could say it then became Ellis' fudgepop and he really liked it! His little lips were so red from being so cold but he just kept on licking. When he wasn't eating O'pa's snack O'ma was playing ball with him. I was really surprised at how long he sat there with her mesmerized over the squishy round thing. I guess that means we need to get him a ball. I just hadn't given him anything like that to play with yet because I thought he was to young but I guess I was wrong. The other big thing he has done with O'ma so far happend today. If you know Trevor's family at all I'm sure that it won't come as a surprise to you that we went out for mexican today for lunch, but the fun thing was that Ellis got to try some of O'ma's refried beans. He was starting to get fussy and we weren't finished eating so I asked Karen if he could try some of her beans. In a few years I guess we will find out if he loves mexican food as much as his cousin Henry!!
